SNG is a Florida non-profit with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. Our mission is to provide employment opportunities in the developing world (currently Nicaragua) while also meeting urgent medical and food needs.
Sheep Dreamzzz is a project begun in 2018 to teach women to knit baby blankets that are later sold in the US. The women keep almost all of the profit, enabling them to apply their earnings where they are most needed, typically for food, medicine, and housing.
Steve and Sandy Jacoby began Sheep Not Goats when they moved to Nicaragua in 2012. They have been married for 33 years. Steve holds an engineering degree from UF, while Sandy received her BA in Social Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and also holds a certificate in crisis intervention from the University of Cincinnati. SNG also has a board consisting of 6 additional members with extensive professional experience in law, accounting, banking, and non-profit direction.
